The idea to create a scholarship in Jonny's memory developed quickly and with the support of our family, friends, and community the 1st Jonny Boom golf tournament was held on Memorial Day weekend in 2019. Since then we have moved dates around and had to skip a year due to Covid, but we kept moving forward. To date we have held 5 tournaments and awarded 9 total scholarships to 5 different recipients. Each year the tournament is held we gain friends and supporters. It is a reminder that Jonny was loved because he loved, and his legacy of friendship and fun lives on with the tournament and scholarships.

This is a big task, but a big motivation for us is Jonny's children. Cadence, Jordan, and Jonathan "Crew" Mills. It is our hope that they will know that their Daddy loved with his whole heart and much of that love was for them.
